I know I just wrote the post about how Little Man initiated saying "I love you" for the first time.
This one's about you, Baby Girl.
My sweet girl loves the song, "Skinny marinky dinky dink, skinny marinky doo. III looovvve yoouu...." We sing it nearly every day, and she always sings along, especially the "I love you..." part. I mean it's mostly vowels, which are super easy for a baby to sing along to. "Eye uuu ooo." Adorable, adorable, adorable, adorable!
Today we sang the song as I was putting her down for a nap. After we were done, I gave her one last squeezy hug and laid her in her crib. We did that lovey-dovey gazing and smiling at each other for a bit, then I stroked her cheek and said, "Night, night, Baby Girl." Her reply? To take the paci out of her mouth, look into my eyes, and say in the sweetest voice I ever heard,
"I uuu ooo."
Followed by a bashful, proud smile.
Oh Baby Girl, I love you, too. I love you to pieces!
